A power audit is ideal for a customer that knows they need a UPS but has no idea what type or size of UPS they require.
During a power audit our engineers will carry out load tests to ascertain how much power you need to support and will discuss the future expansion expectations of your systems. They will also look at the available footprint for the UPS and take into consideration load limitations of the floor.
Using this information our engineers can make a qualified recommendation about which uninterruptible power supply (UPS) best fits the application for the short and long term. The Engineer will then carry out a full electrical site survey and provide the customer with a scope of works for installation as well as the recommendation for the UPS.

As with any device, things can and do go wrong, particularly if they are not regularly checked and maintained. If you do not have maintenance contract it is a good idea to have a regular health check carried out on your UPS and UPS batteries to try and avoid unexpected failures or to spot potential faults early enough to prevent them causing any downtime to your supported load.

Do you know that most UPS batteries only have a life expectancy of five years, and even less if they are not installed in a constant temperature-controlled environment?
We can carry out battery replacements on all brands of UPS systems, be it a 200VA unit or 800KVA unit.

We complete a thorough parameter check and complete a full battery charger calibration to keep your UPS running at its optimum level for the lifetime of the batteries.
Majority of UPS systems use sealed lead acid batteries that require to be kept at an optimal 20oC to 25oC. For systems used in high temperature conditions, it is recommended that your UPS batteries be checked and be changed, if required, earlier than the 5-year period as temperature has a detrimental effect to a batteries life expectancy.

Standard Extended Warranty Benefits
- Extends the standard warranty for two additional years (4-years total)
- Includes replacement of defective batteries for the entire warranty term at no additional charge (not pro-rated)
- Provides total warranty coverage on UPS for most business lease terms and/or depreciation terms
- If returned, Adelmo will properly recycle the old batteries.
- Includes all the benefits listed in the Standard Extended Warranty, plus Adelmo will cover all freight charges to repair/replace defective UPS products.
- Adelmo will include packaging and return shipping of old batteries so that they can be properly recycled.
- Even if batteries are operating nominally throughout the warranty period, Adelmo will contact the customer after four-years to offer guaranteed battery replacement.
- Ensures that there are no additional costs to the end-user for maintaining the UPS for five years.
- All warranty claims will be given priority status upon arrival

Smaller UPS systems can be serviced and repaired in our fully equipped workshop by our trained technicians, saving you time and money.
Removal of these small UPS systems can be an issue as the load is left unprotected. Temporary Loan of UPS is available when requested.
The installation of a remote bypass switch is highly recommended as a power continuity and to address electrical hazard issue. Please contact us for further details.

Preventive Maintenance
Basic - usually taken out as an upgrade of the standard manufacturer’s warranty. A basic agreement provides an upgrade to 8-hour response 24/7 and one preventative maintenance visit per annum, during normal working hours. All parts are included if the unit is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty otherwise both parts and labour are charged at the standard schedule of rates. (Exclude batteries, fuses, fans, and filters).
Corrective - is an out of warranty contract that provides all the features of a basic agreement, but also includes travel and labour costs for any call outs additional to the standard preventative visit. Parts are chargeable as required unless covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. (Excludes batteries, fuses, fans, and filters)
Extensive - includes all the features of a corrective agreement but also includes any parts required for any repair works carried out for the duration of the contract. (Excludes batteries, fuses, fans, and filters)

Electrical site surveys are for customers that have already decided what UPS they require for their application but would also like a professional UPS installation.
The point of a site survey is to provide the customer with an accurate quotation for labour and materials and a scope of works for the UPS installation as well any other electrical works related to the UPS that the customer requires.
A site survey is essential prior to installation to ensure that there are no un-expected costs incurred by the customer once the UPS installation commences.
Site surveys are usually free of charge within normal working hours.
